We had door strut brackets that were aftermarket and made of nylon or maybe delrin and those would wear out and break eventually. I had some aluminum replacements on hand and changed out the right side door bracket but the other day while at the fuel pump the left one gave out. It lasted through 8 years before it broke. Replacement was a bit tricky because the tops of the screws got painted over so I had to dig out paint and try to get the bracket out of the way of the carbon fiber overhead. I got them out and plugged the little gap that was created with some black RTV. Good to go again!
